RIZAL AND HITLER

I don’t know if you have heard of this foolish story I first heard during my high-school days about our own resident playboy JOSE RIZAL, being the father of Germany’s resident bad boy ADOLF HITLER. The story had it that RIZAL, in one of his trysts in Berlin impregnated a lady who eventually gave birth to HITLER. No matter how foolish that story was, there were still some who actually believed the story. Hehe.

Fact was HITLER was not born in Berlin, Germany but in Braunau, Austria on April 20, 1889. Unlike our inherently intelligent RIZAL, HITLER struggled in his early days in school, having been born of poor parents, who were not very supportive of his education. His father, a Customs official was a big spender (like most of our own Customs officials), a drunkard who was violent to both his wife and children, HITLER included. His life at home definitely contributed to his demeanor in school as he was characterized as arrogant, argumentative, evasive, sly and above all lazy. It was during his early days in school that HITLER developed his fondness for war-games, oration and acting and acting he did, when in order to window-dress his state in life, he dressed elegantly and spoke with conceit. HITLER was relatively a failure in much of his early life in fact very few people knew that he hit rock bottom when he was 20, ending up on the streets, hungry and homeless, and contented himself with soups being handed out in shelter homes. His break came in 1919, after his stint in the army when he delivered very good speeches as a member of the German Workers Party. His fame grew to a peak in the 1930s when frequently he spoke his vision of Germany as a superior race, in rallies which titillated the minds of the masses. To cut the long story short, he put his vision to work and that eventually changed the course of history.

Our RIZAL was the opposite, if not the exact contradiction of HITLER. He was showered with love and support early on and this were what drove him to excel in everything he did. He was testament of what a disciplined, humble and intelligent student should be and had morals intact even at an early age. When he grew up, his gained prominence was not intentional but a product of his hardwork. More importantly, his ideas were never for self-recognition but for the genuine good of his countrymen. If ever there was similarity between the two, it was their appeal to women but even that had its differences. RIZAL was gentle and a romantic whereas HITLER was eccentric and sexually deviant. For if not, six out of the seven known to have had relationships with him committed or attempted to commit suicide brought about by the pain and/or shame of their sexually charged relationships with HITLER. Two of them, an actress and an old maid from whom HITLER extracted financial support. If HITLER were alive today, he would be one to record and keep sex videos of his encounters with women. RIZAL, I doubt.

The differences are endless and there is just no way could I imagine the DNA of our RIZAL to flow in the veins of a killer like HITLER. The same type of DNA runs in the blood of each one of us and for this reason I am one in belief with the others who think that we may well be the “superior race” and not the ones HITLER bragged of before.

By the way, did you know that RIZAL’s parents somehow influenced his being a ladies’ man? Well, they nicknamed him PEPE.

  5. What is wrong with being a ladies man? So long as you are responsible enough and don't get into two or more relationships at a time. So long as you don't video/film the girls in a situation where they can be defenseless in the future. Dr. Jose Rizal may have been notorious on girlfriends but I am sure he respected each and every relationship he had. If and if the author had his share of notoriety in the same, as he has emphasized, he has changed. That is possible, right? If one has found the right person then that's the time to stop looking and jumping from one relationship to another. Give this guy a break. He is witty, personable and handsome in his ways if you see him on TV. What kind of woman could resist that?
